Originally Greenwood Farms, Daybreak started out as something small, but with big dreams.

ABOUT US

THE LEGACY

Established in late 1964, Greenwood started out as a small and minuscule farm. Then owned by the Hall of Fame trainer and owner May Banks, what started out as a whimsical dream became a dominating force in the horse racing world. With the purchases and breeding of horses such like Silver Swan, Gallant Wonder,  Tell Me Something New, and Dangerous Stride; Greenwood proves to the world of it's perseverance and its presence, and began a story that would be told generations over.

With time came fame, and Greenwood became the scions of many legends. including: Kapina, Shedrow, Ambroce Perfect Image, Kayce Ace, Cyanide Sweet Tooth, Solar, Thanator, Flor del Oeste, and Howthewestwaswon. With time came championships; wins in infamous and prestigious classics such as the Kentucky Derby, the Breeders' Cup Series, and the Dubai World Cup.

In 2020 came new leadership, and new branding. The Greenwood name and legend was retired, and became Daybreak; a symbol to the world of the new timeline that would come forward. Now, Daybreak stands as one of the best thoroughbred farms in not only North America, but the entire world.
