Nehro is out of the stallion Eisenhower, a champion stallion and winner of the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby, the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes, the Grade 1 Alabama Derby, the Grade 1 Travers Stakes, and the G1 Champagne Stakes. Eisenhower also sired Roosevelt, winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile.

Nehro is out of the mare Be Gentle, a Grade 1 stakes placer. Be Gentle is sired by the champion stallion Sky Mesa, a seven time Grade 1 winners with wins in classic races such as the G1 Japan Cup,  the G1 Jockey Club Gold Cup and the G1 Epsom Derby. He has also sired Always Dreaming, winner of the G1 Ashland Stakes, G3 Gibraltar Stakes, G2 Illios Stakes, and G2 Volskaya Stakes;  Anemoi, winner of the G3 Ontario Stakes; Emhyr, winner of the G3 Sorrento Stakes and Manitoba Stakes and Sky Beauty, winner of the Pioress Stakes.

He also sired Siyouni, who had a Canadian Maiden winner Abel Tasman in his first crop.

Sky Mesa is sired by Ekho, four time Grade 1 winner including the G1 Kentucky Derby, the G1 Belmont Stakes, the G1 Fountain of Youth Stakes, and the G1 King's Bishop Stakes. Also two-time Grade 3 winner of the G3 Withers Stakes and the G3 Long Island Handicapp.​

 

Ekho is sired by Cupid, a winner of the G2 Amsterdam Stakes and the G3 Arlington Classic Stakes, with performances in the G1 Santa Anita Handicapp, the G1 Wycome Derby, and the G2 Lake George Handicapp. Ekho's grandsire through Cupid is Nick Valentine, a chamoion graded stakes winner with wins such as the G1 Dubai World Cup, the G1 Kentucky Derby, the G1 Starkhaven Derby, the G1 Mustafar Stakes, the G1 HIM Emperor Somniar Stakesz, the G1 Arlathan National Derby, the G1 Wycome Derby, and the G1 Flor del Oeste Stakes. Also winner of the G2 Val Royeaux Stakes and the G2 Markham stakes with performances in the G1 Breeder's Cup Classic, the G1 Preakness Stakes, and the G1 Belmont Stakes. Ekho's grandam through Cupid dam is Venera 3, an unraced mare who has produced horses such as Narnia, winner of the G1 Acorn Stakes and the G1 Coaching Club American Oaks. Honor Student, winner of the G1 Australian Derby and the G1 Vhen'alas Derby. Melatonin, a graded stakes performer.​

 

Ekho's dam is Lady Macbeth, a unraced Terran Thoroughbred mare sired by Aquarius, winner of the G1 Theodore Stakes, the G1 Breeders' Cup Classic, and the G2 Stark Handicapp.​Sky Mesa's dam is Lady Eli, an unraced mare by the stallion Seawatch, a three time Grade 1 winner of the Wood Memorial, Jockey Club Gold Cup, and the Clark Handicapp. Seawatch is sired my champion turf horse Nyxed, a six time Grade 1 winner including the Dubai Turf, Breeders' Cup Turf, Duchess Deshanna Memorial, Theodore Stakes, Ferelden Derby, and the Sanctuary Stakes.​ Seawatch's dam is Sing Little Songbird, winner of the Grade 1 Kamino Stakes, Grade 1 Floral Princess Stakes, Grade 2 Tyrell Stakes, and Grade 2 Kirkwall Handicapp.​

 

Lady's Eli dam is Yours Truly,  winner of the Grade 1 Amaranthine Stakes and the Grade 1 Alcitreen Derby.

Be Gentle is out of the unraced mare One If By Land, sired by the stallion Two If By Sea.  Two If By Sea was sired by the stallion Rahy.

Rahy, who was Grade 1 winner as a two year old and finished his career with over 6 million in earnings. He has won numerous stakes races such as the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, the G1 Epsom Derby, the G1 Travers Stakes, the G1 Melbourne Cup, the G1 Japan Cup, and the G1 Prince of Wales Stakes. In his 18 starts, he never placed out of 3rd place, with performances in the G1 Wood Memorial, the G1 Santa Anita Handicapp, and the G1 Australian Derby.
