Sinatra is sired by the foundation sire Dogwood, a twelve time graded stakes winner with over 12 million dollars in lifetime earnings. Dogwood was the winner of the G1 Pegasus World Cup, the G1 Breeder's Cup Juvenile. the G1 Kentucky Derby, the G1 Belmont Stakes, the G1 Florida Derby, and G1 Hopeful Stakes. Dogwood also sired Flor del Oeste, winner of the G1 Breeders' Cup Classic; Nicanor, winner of the G1 Gulf Coast Classic and the G2 Jim Dandy Stakes and Serena Joy, winner of the G1 Breeders' Cup Distaff.
